Have you ever wondered what happens in Human Development classes?
This workshop is an opportunity for parents to learn about the Human Development curriculum from Sanjai Moses and Nicole Stanton, who have been at MA for 17+ years. Human Development is a course that focuses on the social-emotional aspects of high school life. In this workshop, you will be guided through some of the activities and lessons that 9th and 10th graders do to strengthen their communication skills, decision-making, and self-awareness.
We will address topics including social media, mental health, gender, and drugs and alcohol. We will ask you, like we ask our students, to be ready to engage in critical conversations about some important and potentially challenging issues. We hope that participants will leave with a better understanding of how students experience Human Development.
